SC bicyclist dies following after-dark collision with vehicle, police say
A South Carolina bicyclist has died after colliding with a vehicle in Lancaster.
Jeffery Jewett, 36, of Lancaster, died at a hospital shortly after the crash Friday night on Arch Street, according to the Lancaster Police Department and the county coroner.
The crash happened after dark around 7 p.m., officials said.
Police did not release the name of the driver of the vehicle; investigation by the police department and S.C. Highway Patrol continues.
