The U.S. Department of War has published the second release of declassified UFO files on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) on Friday, May 22.

It comes as part of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE), with additional files released on a rolling basis.

AARO assesses that this video, whose uploader-defined title is, Spherical UAP over AFG in and out of clouds 23 Nov 2020, is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating in the United States Central Command area of responsibility in November 2020. A user uploaded this video to a classified network in June 2024. (US DOW via SWNS)

The U.S. Department of War said: "Since the site's launch on May 8, 2026, WAR.GOV/UFO has received over 1 billion hits worldwide, highlighting the unprecedented levels of interest in both this topic and the Trump administration's historic transparency effort."

The Department of War says that it and its agency partners are actively working on the third release of UAP files, which will be announced in the near future.
