The newest Charlotte area Goodwill store will open in Indian Land. See the details

The new Goodwill store in Indian Land will host its grand opening Feb. 25.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont will have its 26th Charlotte area store and fourth in South Carolina, at 8250 Charlotte Highway. Other area stores include one each on Mt. Gallant Road in Rock Hill, Highway 160 West in Fort Mill and Highway 9 Bypass in Lancaster.

A ribbon cutting on Feb. 25 in Indian Land will precede the 10 a.m. store opening. Several Goodwill and Lancaster County officials will be on hand to celebrate.

Clothes pricing has most items in the $5 to $10 range, some items even less. Small appliances, furniture and other items vary based on condition. The store will be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. The store can be reached at 803-650-3889.

All Goodwill retail stores also serve as drop-off sites for donations. The Indian Land location is a 7,100-square-foot store that will have a drive-thru donation area.

The nonprofit serving the Charlotte area has 25 stores and more than 30 donation sites. Some revenue from sales goes to job training, employment services and health or financial resources. According to the nonprofit, Goodwill helped almost 700 people start new careers and coaches or trained more than 1,000 people in 2020.
