Bossy Beulah’s Chicken Shack announces summer opening plan for downtown Fort Mill

Bossy Beulah’s Chicken Shack will open this summer across from Elisha Park in Fort Mill.

Remodeling of the former Coleman’s Garage space at 314 N. White St. started with a late 2021 zoning change request for the auto repair and wrecker building. It’s been ongoing, with details on signs and lighting coming to town planners in recent months.

An update from Bossy Beulah’s on Wednesday states the summer opening and more details about the menu. It includes the signature “Beaut” fried chicken sandwich with Joyce Farms chicken breast, Duke’s mayo and house-made pickles on a bakery bun. There’s also a hot thigh sandwich, Bossy salad, soft serve ice cream and bakery desserts, with local craft beer and wine.

An exact opening date will be announced once construction is complete. Opening will include gift card giveaways, apparel and five randomly picked guests who will get a year of free Beaut sandwiches.

“We are excited to open our first South Carolina location in the tight-knit community of Fort Mill,” Noble Food & Pursuits owner Jim Noble said in Wednesday’s update. “We look forward to being a fixture in Fort Mill and we’re honored to bring the historic Coleman’s Garage building back to life as a gathering space.”

The restaurant will be open daily for in-person dining and online orders.

The new 2,300-square-foot restaurant will have indoor and outdoor seating for a combined 130 guests. It will have a partially covered patio.

Bossy Beulah’s has three Charlotte and Winston-Salem locations, plus others planned in North Carolina for Charlotte and Concord in addition to the South Carolina spot in Fort Mill.
