Two-story Fort Mill gastropub with a rooftop bar announces it will permanently close

The Lucky Duck, a gastropub located in Fort Mill’s Baxter Village, will close for business on April 20.

The restaurant posted the news on its Facebook page and website last week. Until it closes, it is offering $3 drafts and half off bottles of wine every day.

We are the luckiest of ducks to have served the Baxter + Fort Mill area the last 5 years,” the restaurant stated on Facebook in its closing announcement.

The Lucky Duck opened back in the fall of 2019 in the place of the former Six Pence Pub, offering a similar tavern-like environment with seasonal menus of local and homemade products.

The gastropub also featured a rooftop patio and bar that offered customers an expansive view of Baxter Village.

The Lucky Duck will be open for regular business hours until its closing:

  • Wednesday and Thursday: 4-9 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

The Lucky Duck did not respond to requests for comment — keep your eye on this space and we’ll update if we hear back.
