An SC company just scooped up $85M worth of property in York, Lancaster County
A South Carolina company just bought a long list of properties across York and Lancaster counties, combining for more than $85 million.
Saviria LLC bought nine York County properties on Oct. 23 for a combined $35.8 million. The more than 20 acres includes commercial and residential sites in Rock Hill, Fort Mill and York. Saviria also bought nine Indian Land and Lancaster properties on Oct. 10 for $48.8 million. They combine for more than 150 acres.
Saviria listed its owner’s address as a home in the Piper Glen area of Charlotte, according to land records in York and Lancaster counties. The limited liability company is registered in South Carolina, state records show, with a registered agent in Indian Land who could not immediately be reached for comment.
Rock Hill properties involved in the sales are the Founders Federal Credit Union building at Home Depot Boulevard and Celanese Road, plus land on three sides of the Mount Gallant and India Hook roads intersection.
Two small properties in Fort Mill are on the corner of Tom Hall and Sanders streets, near the Walmart Neighborhood Market shopping center. York sites are vacant properties at Alexander Love Highway and Court House Avenue.
The Charlotte company owns several other retail and residential properties throughout York County.
In Lancaster County, five of the now nine properties Saviria owns are connected just south of Fort Mill Highway in Indian Land, southwest of Stock Lane. Those vacant properties just east of the York County line combine for about 60 acres.
Another Indian Land site is more than 60 acres west of U.S. 521, opposite Marvin Road. Three more properties, including the one Saviria owned prior to last month, are vacant sites off Marvin Road near the Union County, North Carolina, line. They combine for more than 30 acres.
The final piece is a gas station at 1200 N. Main St. in Lancaster.
Million-dollar business sales in Rock Hill region
Saviria wasn’t the only company purchasing properties last month. Others include:
- Homebuilder D.R. Horton bought a 61-acre Chester County property on Oct. 3 for $5.9 million. The 3403 Lancaster Hwy. site is off Stanton Commons Parkway, east of Interstate 77.
- Old Town Hospitality bought the 48,000-square-foot Comfort Suites hotel in Rock Hill between Old Springdale Road and Bilwyn Drive, just east of Galleria Boulevard. The Oct. 15 sale was for $5.7 million.
- Michigan-based Stajos Development bought the former Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que spot near Carowinds in Fort Mill. The restaurant at 917 Cabelas Drive was sold Oct. 1 for $4 million. It’s since become a Big Fireworks store.
- Mansa Hospitality Fort Mill, based in Greensboro, North Carolina, bought vacant property off Cabelas and Festival drives near Carowinds on Oct. 27 for $3.2 million. The more than 2-acre site is between the former Famous Dave’s and Interstate 77.
- The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints bought nearly 5 acres of Fort Mill property from grocer Aldi. The $3.2 million deal on Oct. 6 involves property off the end of RPC Road, just north of the Pleasant Road and S.C. 160 West intersection.
- D.R. Horton bought a dozen properties in York on Oct. 2 for $3 million. They’re part of the next phase of the Fergus Crossing townhome community.
- A Charlotte company bought the 15,000-square-foot Rock Hill Industrial building at 5025 Old York Road on Oct. 2 for $2.1 million. The property across Old York Road from Hampton Ridge Road in Rock Hill.
- A Marvin, North Carolina, company bought the 7,200-square-foot former auto service station at 9798 Charlotte Hwy. in Indian Land. The $2.1 million deal happened Oct. 10.
- A Matthews, North Carolina, company bought a 4-acre Indian Land property on Oct. 3 for $1.9 million. The 9495 Charlotte Hwy. site is beside one of the Saviria properties also bought last month.
- Huntersville, North Carolina-based Metrolina Greenhouses bought two properties at a combined 150 acres on Oct. 16 for $1.8 million. The main property is at 874 North Beersheba Road in York.
- Homebuilder Lennar Carolinas bought nine more lots in the Elizabeth subdivision in Fort Mill on Oct. 29 for $1.1 million.
- Homebuilder True Homes bought 21 home lots in the Edgewater area, near Fishing Creek Lake. The Oct. 2 sale went for $1 million.
- Prestige Land & Site Works, out of Charlotte, bought a 52-acre Indian Land site on Oct. 15 for $1 million. The property is east of Hilldale Road and north of Flat Creek Road.
Million-dollar home sales
Along with commercial sites, there were 27 homes that sold in October for $1 million or more in the region.
A Rock Hill home on Ivy Arbor Circle led the way at $2.8 million. Fort Mill had nine million-dollar sales, followed by Lake Wylie with six, Tega Cay with five, Rock Hill with three and Indian Land with two. York and McConnells each had one.
