Missing Chester man, 70, found in eastern NC

A 70-year-old man missing from Chester for days was located late Friday in Edgecombe County in rural eastern North Carolina, police said.

Joseph Kelly Heath has been hospitalized after he was located but his condition is unknown, Chester Police Department Chief Andre Williams said.

Heath, a diabetic without his insulin who is in the early stages of dementia , was last seen Thursday in his car after leaving Jonesville in Union County and supposedly heading home to Chester along S.C. 9.

Heath's family has been notified that he has been found.

Edgecombe County is near Rocky Mount, N.C. east of Raleigh.
