These dozen properties sold for $1 million or more in York County in November.
November land sales in York County included a dozen at $1 million or more. Those sales included homes, businesses and vacant land.
Here are the high-dollar properties that changed hands:
▪ More than 10 acres of commercial property sold Nov. 7 for more than $9.8 million. The Carolina Gardens senior living site at 1791 Lexington Commons Dr. sits north of Celanese Road and west of Riverchase Boulevard. It’s surrounded by the Cantrell Court and Bristol Parks subdivisions to the west and Lexington Commons to the east. VP Rock Hill Propco LLC, based in Chicago, bought the site from FC Real Estate Rock Hill LLC.
▪ Almost $2 million worth of property sold Nov. 12 between Heckle Boulevard, Celanese Road and Hollis Lakes Road. Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation bought two parcels from Reformed Theological Seminary. The larger — 93 acres located at 454 Hollis Lakes Road — touches Celanese and Hollis Lakes, along with Aspendale Road. The smaller is 13 acres at 2656 Heckle Boulevard. It also backs up, on the opposite side from the larger site, to Aspendale.
The economic development corporation has arrangements in place with the City of Rock Hill, York County and private partners to create Aspen Business Park in the area. This summer the city gave preliminary agreement to the plan set to create up to 2,000 jobs in the area. Childress Klein Properties is another partner in the project.
The full park would be 220 acres and could have about 1.6 million square feet of industrial space. The first phase of the project could cost $2.8 million.
▪ A Tega Cay home at 7107 Anchorage Lane sold Nov. 18 for $1.7 million. The cul-de-sac lot has Lake Wylie access on the main channel, from the main peninsula of historic Tega Cay.
▪ More than an acre of commercial property at 3684 Foothills Way sold Nov. 14 for more than $1.5 million. Greenville-based MPG Arden LLC bought the site from Outlaw Enterprises Inc. The site sits near the northernmost tip of York County, at the I-77 southbound on ramp at Carowinds Boulevard. The site is just across Foothills from hotel properties, and south of the Carowinds theme park.
