These Rock Hill roads will close for the Christmas Parade. What you’ll need to know.

Multiple roads will be closed in Rock Hill Friday because of the Christmas Parade.

The parade starts at 6:30 p.m., closing Oakland Avenue from Cherry Road to Union Avenue at 2 p.m. for parade staging, according to the city. Here a map.

Road closures during and after the parade:

  • Elizabeth Lane between White and Black Streets

  • Main Street between Elizabeth Lane and Confederate Avenue

  • Reid Street between White and Main Streets

  • Orange Street between Main and Black Streets

The parade route will begin closing at 6 p.m. and will reopen when the parade is over.

Parade route:

  • Oakland Avenue toward Old Town

  • Right on White Street

  • Left across the municipal parking lot by Wells Fargo

  • Left on Main Street

  • Ending at Elizabeth Lane (passed Fountain Park)

On-street parking along the parade route and disbanding areas will be unavailable Friday.

Parking for the parade is available in the Black Street parking deck and surface lot, along with the City Hall parking lot. The White Street parking lot and the Fountain Park Place parking deck are available for parking, but the lots will be closed once the parade begins.

The Fountain Park Place deck will reopen when the parade is finished and units have cleared the surrounding streets.
