An incident involving a barricaded man at a home near Felts Parkway in Fort Mill has been resolved, police said.

Maj. Bryan Zachary of the Fort Mill Police Department said officers entered the residence in the Massey subdivision where the man had barricaded himself and spoke with him.

Zachary said there was no violent exchange and the man was cooperative with officers.

Zachary said no one else was in the residence at the time and there is no immediate danger to the public.

He said officers were made aware of firearms in the home, but there was indication that the man was armed at the time of the incident. Zachary could not say if any charges will be filed.

“We had no reason to believe that he posed a threat to anyone other than possibly himself at any point in time,” he said.
