Ready to ring in 2020? Here are five ways to celebrate in York County region

It’s almost time to ring in 2020.

Multiple restaurants, clubs and bars are hosting New Year’s Eve parties in the York County region.

Here are five ways to celebrate:

Rock the Doc New Year’s party

Papa Doc’s Shore Club in Lake Wylie is hosting a New Year’s Eve party starting at 8 p.m. Dec. 31. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online on eventbrite.com.

Guests will enjoy live music from the Smiling Dogs, food stations, a breakfast buffet at midnight, complimentary champagne toasts and a balloon drop.

The event is is open to adults 21 and older. For more information, call 803-831-0043.

New Year’s Eve at Carowinds

A parade, live entertainment and dance parties mark the New Year’s Eve celebration during Carowinds’ WinterFest.

Carowinds near Fort Mill sits on the the South and North Carolina border.

During WinterFest, the theme park is lit up with sparkling trees and shops offering treats. The New Year’s Eve celebration is 5 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1, 2020.

At midnight, guests will enjoy a fireworks show. Visit Carowinds’ website for tickets.

Glennon Center NYE

Guests can ring in 2020 at the Shore Club’s Glennon Center in Tega Cay from 9 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1, 2020. The event, at 15083 Molokai Drive, features drink specials, a hors d’oeuvre buffet and a performance by Jam Garden, a local 90s band.

The event is open to adults 21 and older. Tickets are $30, or $36 with gratuity, and can be purchased online at freshtix.com/events/nye2020 or by phone at 803-616-9455.

Mystery Theater at NarroWay

Guests can enjoy a mystery performance for New Year’s Eve at NarroWay performance center in Fort Mill. Shows are 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Dec. 31. Visitors can watch the ball drop following the 9 p.m. show.

NarroWay, located at 3327 Hwy. 51 N., offers dinner and a show. For tickets, visit narroway.net or call 803-802-2300 or 704-831-8893.

New Year’s craft party

Children ages three to nine years old can make noisemakers, party poppers and New Year’s Eve hats from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dec. 31 at Kidcreate Studio, 636 Crown Pointe Ln. Suite 101 in Rock Hill.

Parents can drop their child off for the Mommy’s Time off-New Year’s Eve Craft Party. Tickets are $30 for the first child and $15 for siblings and can be purchased online at eventbrite.com.
