A Valentine’s card can go a long way to bringing joy to senior citizens who find themselves lonely.

PruittHealth, a health services organization, is asking the public to send Valentine’s Day cards and flowers to the Rock Hill facility for patients.

PruittHealth provides nursing care, home health care, end-of-life hospice care and therapy services across the Southeast. The organization is celebrating 50 years.

“At PruittHealth, we treat everyone like a part of our family. On Valentine’s Day – and every day – we strive to make sure our patients feel loved and a part of a community. Unfortunately, for some of our residents, their loved ones have passed on or aren’t always able to visit. This is why we’re asking for the community’s help in making sure all our residents feel the love this Valentine’s Day,” Neil L. Pruitt, Jr., Chairman and CEO of PruittHealth, said in a prepared statement.

Flowers and cards can be sent to 261 S Herlong Ave, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

“Together, we can ensure no older adult in York County feels forgotten this Valentine’s Day, and with a simple act of kindness, we can do our part to improve the health and well-being of older adults in the community,” states the release.
