Senior football player looks back at impact on and off the field

In this news video from WSOC, Rock Hill High School senior and Catawba tribe member Nathan Bruce looks back on his senior year.

“I’ve actually loved it a lot. There’s been a lot of good people,” Bruce said. “I’ve met a lot of good teachers, a lot of good coaches, a lot of good friends.”

Bruce loves playing football, a sport he has been playing for 11 years. He participated in the fourth-annual 2021 Indigenous Bowl, a national all-star game played by high school seniors of American Indian descent across the country.

The 2022 graduate will study conservation biology at Catawba College in Salisbury.
