Rock Hill motorcyclist dies in crash in third bike fatality in about a month

A Rock Hill motorcyclist has died after a weekend crash with a car in the third York County cycle fatality in just over a month.

Jayden Ford, 27, died Saturday after the collision, according to the York County Coroner.

Ford’s Suzuki motorcycle collided with a Toyota Camry sedan Saturday around 7:45 p.m. on Albright Road near Midvale Avenue, the Rock Hill Police Department said. The department’s traffic reconstruction team is continuing to investigate, Lt. Michael Chavis said.

No other details about the wreck have been released.

The motorcycle death is the third in York County since May. A rider died June 21 after a crash on Garvin Road near Ashe Road, and a Rock Hill 18-year-old died May 19 after a collision on Dave Lyle Boulevard near Mount Gallant Road.
