2 killed over the weekend in York County when truck collides with lawn mower
Two people were killed and two others were hurt over the weekend in a York County crash when a truck collided with a lawnmower, officials said.
The York County Coroner’s Office has not yet identified the two people who died in the wreck.
A passenger in the truck and a person on the lawnmower died after the collision Saturday night around 8:30 p.m. on Homestead Road, said Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The truck had three people in it, Glover said. One passenger in the truck died and a second passenger was injured, Glover said.
The lawnmower had two people on it, Glover said. One person on the lawnmower was killed and a second person on the lawnmower was hurt, Glover said.
The fatal collision remains under investigation by the coroner and the S.C. Department of Public Safety.
