One dead in 3-vehicle York County crash near Lake Wylie, troopers say

One person has died after a three-vehicle crash in York County near the North Carolina state line west of Lake Wylie, officials said.

The collision happened Tuesday night around 8 p.m. on S.C. 274 near Fewell Road, according to Master Trooper Hannah Davidson of the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The driver of one of the cars died at the scene, Davidson said. The name of the person who died has not yet been released by the York County Coroner.

The wreck remains under investigation.
