Rock Hill police again called to Saluda Street for shots fired

Rock Hill police are investigating shots fired near Saluda Street in Rock Hill early Friday.

An officer heard about five gunshots in the vicinity of Walnut Street and South Stonewall Street just after midnight Friday morning, according to a police report. While the officer was driving in the area he received a calls regarding shots fired in the 600 block of Walnut Street.

A search of Walnut Street found two .40 caliber shell casings.

No injuries were reported Friday. Police are investigating.

On Monday evening Rock Hill police investigated shots fired near the Saluda Discount Grocery.

Police founded a Ford Crown Victoria with several bullet holes at the grocery store. The occupants of the vehicle said they heard between five and seven shots, according to a police report.

The police also went to a home on Arch Drive. A resident told police she heard what sounded like fireworks. Her son ran out of his bedroom saying, “I’ve been shot,” according to the report. He was not injured.
