Pair, including man on bond, charged in Rock Hill store armed robbery, police say

Two people have been arrested after a Rock Hill store clerk had a gun pointed at her during a robbery earlier this month, police said.

Sha Derrick Romaize Davis, 36, and Amber Marie Houseman, 42, each are charged with armed robbery of the Family Dollar store on Cherry Road, said Lt. Michael Chavis of the Rock Hill Police Department.

Davis also is accused of pointing a gun at a store employee during the robbery, Chavis said.

The employee was not hurt in the Nov. 13 incident where the two are accused of stealing items from the store, Chavis said.

Davis was arrested late Wednesday, after Houseman had been arrested Tuesday, police said.

Davis also is charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, according to police and court records.

Davis spent two stretches in South Carolina prison after convictions for distribution of crack cocaine, York County court records show. Davis was later released on probation, according to the S.C. Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services.

Davis was free on $7,000 bond at the time of the robbery after he was arrested in April on drug and theft charges, according to court records.

Davis and Houseman are being held at the York County jail without bond.
