Rock Hill couple charged when child porn pictures, videos found their on cellphones.
A York County husband and wife have been arrested after child pornography photos and videos were found on their cellphones, officials said.
Eric Michael Haynes, 47, and Dona Tiffany Haynes, 41, of Rock Hill, were taken into custody late Monday, according to York County Sheriff’s Office deputies, sheriff’s office reports, and jail records.
Each is charged with 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of minors, according to arrest warrants obtained by The Herald.
The pair are husband and wife, deputies said.
The couple had pictures and videos of children as young as age 3 engaged in sexual acts on their phones, the warrants state.
The investigation began in May. Deputies working with a South Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children task force obtained a search warrant for the phones, records show. The S.C. Attorney General’s Office prosecutes child pornography cases that are investigated by local and state police.
Third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor alleges possession of child pornography, South Carolina law shows. Each charge carries up to 10 years in prison for a conviction.
Eric Haynes and Dona Haynes remain at the York County jail each under a $50,000 bond, jail records show.
