Two women free on bail charged with armed robbery in Lancaster, SC, police say

A woman free on bail for a March armed robbery in Lancaster has been arrested for another armed robbery, according to police and court records. This time, police said she had help.

Kadence Deanna Swindall, 21, is charged with armed robbery for her role in an incident Monday at The Forks convenience store on Memorial Park Road, said Barry Faile, Lancaster County Sheriff.

Faile said Swindall dropped off Alyssa Shiann Putnam, 18, at the store around noon Monday. Putnam robbed the store with a gun while Swindall waited in a car outside, Faile said.

Putnam has not been taken into custody yet, officials said. Deputies have arrest warrants against Putnam for armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, Faile said.

Deputies who watched the surveillance video from the robbery identified Swindall and a black SUV she was believed to have been driving, Faile said. At Swindall’s home nearby, deputies recovered cash in a toilet tank, clothing, and two pellet guns, Faile said.

Swindall was in custody an hour after the robbery, Faile said.

Swindall was free on $25,000 bail after she was arrested in March for armed robbery of a Food Lion in Lancaster, according to Lancaster police. The case from March has not been resolved in court yet, court records show.

Swindall was denied bond after her arrest Monday.

Putnam was also free on bail at the time of the robbery Monday, according to court records. Putnam was charged with felony child abuse or neglect in July 2019 and was released after posting a $10,000 bond, court records show.
