Male teenager shot in Rock Hill near Cherry Park; suspect sought, police say
A teen was shot in Rock Hill Friday afternoon, police said.
The male victim, 18, was shot in the 100 block of Chandler Drive west of Cherry Road, said Lt. Michael Chavis of the Rock Hill Police Department.
The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center hospital for treatment, Chavis said. The victim’s condition was unavailable.
The name of the victim, and details about the shooting, have not been released.
Police forensic units, crime scene technicians, and detectives remained on scene. The area of the shooting is in a residential area west of Cherry Road businesses and Cherry Park.
No arrests have been made, Chavis said.
