Man killed in Chester County, SC shooting. Police say he knew the woman who shot him.

A Chester County woman is charged with murder after fatally shooting a man early Monday morning, police said.

Lillian Lorrain Tyndall, 42, was arrested Monday after deputies found Cavis Simpson dead inside a residence on Lowrys Highway, said Chester County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Suskin.

Deputies arrived at the home after 2 a.m. Monday, court records show. Simpson, 40, was found dead in a bedroom of the house, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.

Tyndall and Simpson were acquaintances, Suskin said.

An arrest warrant said deputies charged Tyndall after statements she made to law enforcement during the investigation.

No other information has been released about the shooting or the relationship between Tyndall and Simpson.

A conviction for murder in South Carolina carries a minimum of 30 years up to life in prison. Tyndall also was charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Tyndall was denied bail after a court hearing Monday and remains at the Chester County jail.
