A Lancaster man is charged with murder in the fatal shooting death of a teen earlier this month.

Lancaster police charged Kenyan Lamar Blair, 19, on Wednesday for the Sept. 4 killing of Jelani Jackson, 18.

Jackson died after he was shot on Clinton Avenue in Lancaster.

Blair was in the Lancaster County jail on unrelated charges when police served the arrest warrant for murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, Lancaster police said in a statement.

The arrest came after a week of investigation by Lancaster city police and county sheriff’s office deputies who work on a violent crime task force.

Police have not released any other details about the killing.
