The S.C. Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help to find a car and driver involved in a Sunday morning fatal hit and run where a 31-year-old bicyclist from Clover died, officials said.

The collision happened on S.C. 55 near Parham Road in York County, according to a news release from Master Trooper Brandon Bolt. A vehicle struck the person with the bicycle then left the scene, Corporal David Jones said.

Anthony Raheem Parker died at the scene, the York County Coroner’s Office said Monday in a written release.

The highway patrol put out a statement on social media saying the vehicle involved could have front end or passenger side damage. The area of the crash is between Lake Wylie and Clover.

Parker was the father of a 3-year-old daughter, according to Facebook postings and a GoFundMe page set up to pay for funeral arrangements and other expenses.

S.C. Rep Brandon Guffey, a Rock Hill Republican in the General Assembly and businessman, said Parker worked for him at one time.

Anyone with information about the crash can call the highway patrol at 843-661-4705, or 1-800-768-1505; or call York County Crime Stoppers at 877-409-4321.
