Third person charged in Rock Hill shooting that left man injured in early June

An 18-year-old Rock Hill man turned himself in on Monday morning in connection with a shooting earlier this month, according to Rock Hill police.

Denarion Au’shad Gordon became the third person charged in the June 2 shooting in the 1800 block of Heather Square.

Gordon faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm in a crime of violence, according to a police news release.

The shooting took place at 10:54 p.m., and when officers arrived at the scene, they found a 33-year-old man with gunshot wounds in his legs.

According to the Rock Hill Police Department, the victim was transported to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment.

On June 4, officers made two arrests after detectives identified Antonio Maurice Roberts Jr., 20, and Saiye Kashiir Golden, 18, as suspects in the shooting.

Roberts Jr. and Golden were transported to the York County jail and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a crime of violence.

Roberts Jr. was also charged with discharging firearms into a dwelling, unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance within proximity of a park, playground or school.

Both Roberts Jr. and Golden were denied bonds, according to jail records.

Bond information for Gordon was not immediately available.
