Shooting in Lancaster sends 2 to hospital early Sunday morning
An early morning shooting on Sunday required two victims be flown from the scene by helicopter.
Lancaster police were called to the 400 block of Miller Street around 6 a.m. Sunday. Two young men were found at the scene with gunshot wounds and were rushed to the hospital by helicopter.
Investigators had not yet identified a suspect immediately after the shooting, although responders were still collecting evidence at the scene.
The extent of the men’s injuries was not immediately known. The victims are approximately in their 20s, and are not believed to be related to each other, said Capt. Scott Grant with Lancaster police.
Grant declined to say where the shooting victims had been taken for treatment, indicating they may still be under threat until police can identify a suspect or a motive.
