York County deputies investigating more car break-ins

York County investigators are working a string of car break-ins in Rock Hill and need to know if anyone in the area had anything stolen out of their cars overnight.

Detectives are investigating multiple break-ins that happened between Thursday night and Friday morning in the Marshall Road and Auten Road areas of Rock Hill, according to Trent Faris, a spokesman for the York County Sheriff’s Office. An exact number was not available Friday afternoon.

Investigators are still working the case and need to know if anyone in the Lost Colony, Richards Landing and Lake Edwards subdivisions had anything stolen out of their vehicles during the night, Faris said. In all of the cases under investigation, the cars had been left unlocked.

Suspects are in custody, but Faris said investigators are still putting the case together to determine which charges and how many to levy against the suspects. Information on the arrests was not available late Friday afternoon.

These break-ins have nothing to do with the string of break-ins reported in the Regent Park Area of Fort Mill this week, Faris said. That remains under investigation.

Anyone who has information on these break-ins or believes their vehicle was broken into and rummaged through should call the sheriff’s office at 803-628-3059.
