Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a string of car break-ins last week in the Rock Hill area.

Cody Austin Phillips, 17, and Tyler Michael Elmore, 18, both of Rock Hill, were arrested Friday, York County Sheriff’s spokesman Trent Faris said. They were being held without bond Monday in the York County Detention Center.

Elmore and Phillips face 22 and 20 charges, respectively, including first-degree burglary, larceny and breaking into a motor vehicle, according to the York County Detention Center website.

Authorities said the arrests are connected to multiple break-ins between Thursday night and Friday morning in the Marshall Road and Auten Road areas of Rock Hill. An exact number of break-ins was not available.

Investigators Friday asked the public if anyone in the Lost Colony, Richards Landing and Lake Edwards subdivisions had anything stolen out of their vehicles during the night. In all of the Rock Hill cases, officials said, the cars had been left unlocked.

The Rock Hill break-ins have nothing to do with the string of break-ins reported in the Regent Park Area of Fort Mill earlier in the week, Faris said. That remains under investigation.
