Co-defendant pleads guilty in Rock Hill killing

YORK Another defendant charged with a role in the August killing of a Rock Hill man that prosecutors said was a mistaken identity payback shooting has pleaded guilty in the case, court records show.

Anthony Hart, 30, was shot on Frank Street in Rock Hill. Yet the alleged gunman, Quinteris Miller, 18, shot the wrong man after he was apparently upset after getting hit in the head with a brick. Hart had nothing to do with the dispute, prosecutors have said in court.

Miller allegedly got a gun and used it on Hart, and was helped before and after the crime.

Xavier Dontay Thompson, 19, pleaded guilty this week to accessory to murder after the fact. His sentence was deferred until Miller is prosecuted.

Miller remains jailed without bond as he faces more than 20 charges including the murder and 10 counts of attempted murder from another shooting.

Faubion Mobley, 20, already pleaded guilty for his role in the shooting.
