A piece of land with jaw-dropping picturesque views and vibes happens to be one state’s most expensive listing for sale, mainly because of an added, shiny bonus that comes on the land.

Or rather, under it.

Gold.

The 1,418-acre piece of land — priced at an eyebrow-raising $23.5 million — is Woodchopper Creek Gold Claim, a vast gold mine.

“It consists of a set of 15 patented claims (230 fee simple acres) and 37 unpatented claims (1,188 acres roughly),” the listing on Realtor.com says. “According to a report conducted by EASI the estimated value of the remaining gold reserves is about..... 60 million net (various factors involved including price of gold).”

Yes, $60 million, which means you could potentially get back over double what you pay for the property itself if you have a decent pickax.

It was mined, but hasn’t been mined in a very long time,” listing agent Yvan Corbin told Realtor.com. While the buyer doesn’t own the land of “the unpatented claims” they have “the rights to extract.”

The land also appears to be perfect for someone to build a private oasis and just gaze upon the stunning landscape…while mining for riches.

“Gold is such a unique mineral and gold fever is real, and I think someone that wants to buy this could hit the jackpot and find more than what is thought to be there,” Corbin said to Realtor.

The land is located off the Yukon River in a remote area of the state. The closest city is Fairbanks, which can be accessed by a hour plane ride.
