Horse missing for hours needs rescue after tumbling into ditch, Ohio firefighters say

Rescue teams in Ohio sprung into action after finding a missing horse lying in a ditch.

Jasmine the horse was missing for a few hours when she fell into a ditch, according to a Facebook post from the Granger Township Firefighters Association.

Fire crews were called to help get Jasmine out of the ditch. Other rescue teams also assisted in the rescue.

“First responders needed to clear brush, get ropes and webbing under Jasmine and clear dirt to give her room to move,” officials said.

Once first responders got Jasmine on her stomach, they were able to get her feet under her and she was able to walk out of the ditch.

“All in all we were all a little dirty and a little tired but a good ending to a tough situation,” officials said.

Granger Township is a 30-mile drive south of Cleveland.
