A man accused of pointing a gun at children and threatening them was arrested, Texas authorities say.

Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said Benjamin Walls, 41, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the Oct. 12 incident near Timbers Elementary School.

The investigation revealed that he approached a group of children playing basketball and asked if he could join them. When they declined, Walls displayed a handgun and verbally threatened the kids and their guardians, Herman said.

“Someone is going to get hurt,” he told the group while pointing the gun at them, according to court documents.

He was jailed on an $80,000 bond, investigators said.

His bond conditions state he is ordered to stay away from the children and the elementary school. He is also not allowed to possess a firearm, the court documents show.

Timbers Elementary School is in Humble, a northeastern suburb of Houston.
