UPDATE: Nikki Serrat faces charges of reckless driving resulting in death or substantial bodily harm and hit and run in the fatal crash, Las Vegas police said in a Wednesday, Nov. 13, news release. Investigators identified her as the Lexus driver based on security video and witness statements.

The original story is below.

A hit-and-run driver killed two young children in a wild collision and abandoned two badly injured passengers in their Lexus, Las Vegas police reported.

The children were in the vehicle hit by a 2014 Lexus GS350 that ran a red light shortly after 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, police said in a news release.

“These kids deserved everything; they didn’t even get a chance to start their life,” a loved one said on a GoFundMe established to help support the family. The children were ages 6 and 11.

The mother and two of her other children in a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander were also injured in the crash, police said. The impact threw the Outlander into two other vehicles, a 2018 Honda Civic and a 2013 Cadillac SRX.

The Cadillac driver declined treatment for minor injuries and the Honda driver did not report any injuries, police said.

Following the crash, the Lexus driver ran away, leaving behind two passengers with critical injuries, police said.

The 11-year-old boy, who dreamed of becoming a famous streamer, was found dead at the scene, while his 6-year-old sister, who wanted to be a music teacher, died at a hospital, the GoFundMe said.

“It was a heinous crime and terrible situation,” Earl Saulter, the mother’s co-worker, told KVVU. “ ... I feel rage. Nobody should have to go through something like that.”

Investigators ask anyone with information to call 702-828-3595.
