A missing dog was found in an airport days after getting loose, an Oregon breeder said.

Archie, a dachshund breed, got loose during pet transport at the Rogue Valley International Medford Airport, moments after his breeder handed him over, according to a Nov. 19 Facebook post by MRS Long Dog Ranch.

“As all flight nannies I have dealt with, he showed his ID and I handed the pup over. Archie, the missing pup, was a bit skittish when I handed him over — first time I have seen that from him. He is very socialized with new people,” Archie’s breeder, Melissa Shrader, told the Roque Valley Times.

Shrader took to Facebook in hopes that the community could help locate Archie, with the pet transport company even offering a reward, according to the Facebook post.

Shrader posted a video to the Facebook page asking people to come to the airport to help search for Archie.

In a Nov. 20 post, Shrader said the situation has “redefined” her “understanding of coming together as a community!”

Eventually, office staff at the airport called Shrader to tell her a dog had been spotted, according to a Nov. 20 video posted to Facebook.

“I raced down here to identify a dog, and guess who we found?” Shrader said in the video before panning the camera over to Archie sitting on a black dog bed.

Facebook users jumped into the comments section to let Shrader know how happy the news made them, with one person saying, “That is great news thank you for letting us all know greatly appreciated.”

“Oh my goodness. Answered prayers,” another wrote.

“THIS IS WONDERFUL!,” another person said.

“This is so amazing happy tear,” someone commented.

Medford is about a 270-mile drive south of Portland.
