13-year-old girl stabs neighbor multiple times, Texas cops say. Teen and mom charged
A 13-year-old girl is accused of stabbing her neighbor multiple times, leading to charges against both her and her mother, Texas authorities say.
The stabbing happened Sunday, March 2, at an apartment complex in Aldine, a northern suburb of Houston, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
The sheriff’s office told KHOU the upstairs neighbor and downstairs neighbor were complaining when the situation began to escalate.
The 13-year-old girl left and returned with a knife, then used it to stab her 19-year-old male neighbor multiple times, Gonzalez told KTRK.
Gonzalez said the neighbor was hospitalized and listed in “serious but fair condition.” He did not say what the cause of the “neighbor dispute” was.
The girl was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was jailed in the Harris County Juvenile Probation Center, Gonzalez said.
Authorities said the teen’s 43-year-old mother, accused of trying to destroy and hide the knife used in the attack, was charged with tampering with evidence.
