Man robs woman at gunpoint after she rejects his romantic advances, Missouri cops say
A 31-year-old woman rejected a man’s romantic advances while leaving a store and was then robbed and shot at, according to Missouri police.
The woman was walking out of a Walgreens in St. Louis when the man started to approach her, police said.
She rejected the man and got into her car on March 28, but the man refused to leave her alone, St. Louis Metropolitan Police said in a news release.
He knocked on her window with a gun, then snatched her purse and keys and took off, according to the March 29 release.
The woman started to follow the accused robber, and he held her purse in front of his gun and fired a shot in her direction, police said.
She was not hit and went back to her car to call authorities.
Police did not identify the suspected robber.
Detectives are still investigating. Those with information are asked to call St. Louis police at 314-444-2500 or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477.
