Update: The toddler has been found safe hours after an endangered person advisory was released April 21, according to KSDK and KMOV.

The original story is below.

A 3-year-old boy was ripped from his father’s arms during an assault at a park in March, Missouri authorities said.

The 3-year-old was taken March 25 at St. John Park when his father was assaulted, authorities said. The park is about a 15-mile drive northwest of downtown St. Louis.

Troopers were searching for a white 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee last seen the evening of April 20. A dark blue 2013 Chevrolet Cruze was also a vehicle authorities were looking out for, according to the advisory.

Four people were considered possible suspects, according to authorities. McClatchy News is not naming the possible suspects because they have not been charged with a crime.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call 911 or call Missouri State Highway Patrol—Troop C at 636-300-2800.
