Woman accused of killing husband says he broke in and threatened her, PA cops say
A man was shot and killed in Philadelphia and his wife is accused of pulling the trigger, Pennsylvania police told news outlets.
The shooting happened at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, May 25, at a home on Philadelphia’s northeast side, WTXF reported, citing police.
Officers say a 38-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene with a single gunshot wound to his shoulder, WCAU reported.
His wife was taken into custody and, during an interview, police say she told detectives her husband broke into the home and threatened her, WPVI reported. She said he had left a week earlier but came back and kicked open the front and back door to get inside, according to police.
Police haven’t said if the woman is expected to face any charges, but an investigation is underway, WCAU reported.
Police did not publicly identify the man, WTXF reported.
