Come-See-Me bed race, garden tour moved to Sunday

The “Make a Bed and Make a Difference” Bed Race and the Master Gardeners of York County Garden Tour – originally scheduled as part of Come-See-Me on Saturday – have been moved to Sunday in anticipation of rainy weather.

The bed race will start at 2 p.m. on East Main Street, with the starting line at Caldwell Street. The garden tour, featuring five gardens at homes in the Shiland Hills neighborhood, will be from 1-4 p.m.

The Master Gardeners’ annual plant sale at the Glencairn Garden Learning Center, 825 Edgemont Ave., Rock Hill, will take place as scheduled – 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets for the garden tour are $5 and can be bought at the plant sale or at any of the five featured gardens on the tour: June and Dick Kay, 2643 Ashmore Court; Julia and Alan Nichols, 2518 Meredith Court; Kim and Mike Climer, 2646 Carolwood Dr.; Laura and Woody Livingston, 2658 Carolwood Dr.; and Russ and Doris McDonald, 1830 Overbrook Dr.
