From the mountains to the coast, you can find a long list of cozy, cool and charming rental homes across North Carolina, but a new report is revealing the most popular one in the state.
Airbnb released a list of most wishlisted homes across the 50 states for family gatherings or solo getaways, including an “invisible” mirror house, western saloon and even a castle vineyard.
But which is the most popular for travelers heading to to the Tar Heel state? According to Airbnb, it is a sky-high treehouse located in China Grove.

Located about 33 miles outside of Charlotte, the highly-rated Airbnb is designed for guests to “enjoy nature at its best” right from the treetops of Rowan County.
“This tree house is very unique. It features two separate sleeping quarters to give renters the ability to accommodate more friends and enjoy time together but also have private time at night,” the Airbnb listing says. “It’s 25 feet up in the trees and has plenty of nature coming through and around the decks.”
Made up of two separate sleeping quarters, the Airbnb with two bedrooms, three beds and an outdoor shower can sleep up to eight guests.
