Search underway for South Carolina man who hasn’t been seen for months
A search is underway for a missing South Carolina man.
Drayton Lucas was publicly reported missing by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday. The 24-year-old has not been seen in more than 2 months, the sheriff’s department said.
Lucas’ family said he went missing the morning of Feb. 8, according to the sheriff’s department.
Lucas was last seen when he walked away from his family’s home on Whetstone Road in Swansea, the sheriff’s department said.
His family said it’s possible Lucas was headed toward Orangeburg County, according to the sheriff’s department. Information about Lucas’ connections to Orangeburg County was not available.
There was no word if Lucas was alone when he was last seen. The sheriff’s department did not say if foul play was suspected in Lucas’ disappearance.
The sheriff’s department described Lucas as a 5-foot-10, 150-pound man with brown eyes and brown hair.
There have been multiple previous searches — on the ground and in the air — for Lucas since he was last seen, according to the sheriff’s department.
Anyone who has seen Lucas, or has information about him, is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 803-785-2482, CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
