Schools across the Rock Hill region are canceling weekend events due to forecasts of heavy snow. School cancellation or delays for next week haven’t been announced, but there’s not the typical rush since all six districts have a teacher workday Monday.

Teacher workdays mean students wouldn’t come back to school until Tuesday at the earliest. Teachers still go to school on teacher workdays, but districts will inform their staffs of any changes if they’re necessary for Monday.

For area districts, it’s the second straight weekend they’ve had to cancel or push off events due to a winter storm.
