Adam Christenberry of the Catawba Ridge lacrosse team is The Herald’s Athlete of the Week.

The Copperhead junior attacker scored four goals and had five ground balls in an 11-8 win at Socastee on April 13. He also scored four goals, had one assist and three ground balls in a 22-11 loss at St. James on April 11.

Christenberry earned 43% of the vote in this week’s poll. Kyle Percival of Andrew Jackson baseball earned 28% of the vote, and Anna Urquhart of Indian Land track earned 9% of the vote.

Meet the finalists

Owen Ameo, Nation Ford lacrosse. The Falcon junior attacker had eight goals in two wins this past week, doing so in the first action he’s seen all year because of an injury, per Nation Ford coach Cory Turner. Ameo scored three goals in a 14-2 win at Socastee on March 11, and he had five goals in a 14-2 win at Waccamaw on March 12. Nation Ford is still perfect at 16-0 this season.

Caleb Cox, Clover baseball. The Blue Eagles’ senior left-handed pitcher tossed a complete-game shutout with 11 strikeouts while allowing just two hits in a 6-0 win over York in the York County Spring Slugfest championship game on April 14. Clover beat Northwestern, 12-4, on April 13 and South Pointe, 7-2, on April 12 in the same tournament. Clover (18-2) has won eight straight games.

Aniya Davis, Lancaster track. The Bruin junior won the 100-meter hurdles in 21.16 and the 400-meter hurdles in 1:28.19 at Buford High on April 12. Davis helped the Lancaster girls track team to a 67-point victory at the Buford meet.

Kyle Percival, Andrew Jackson baseball. The University of North Carolina commit went 6-for-11 at the plate with two doubles, three home runs and seven RBI to lead Andrew Jackson (18-1-1) to three wins this week — two wins over Buford and a victory over York Prep this week. Percival also had 15 strikeouts in six innings of work on the mound in the team’s first game against Buford.

Connor Rasmussen, Fort Mill baseball. The Yellow Jacket senior tossed a complete-game two-hitter with two strikeouts to lead Fort Mill to a 1-0 win over Gilbert in the Sandlapper Tournament championship game on April 13. Rasmussen was also 1-for-3 at the plate in the same game and had several other good showings at the plate this past week. Rasmussen is batting .438 with seven doubles, 15 RBI and 13 runs scored, while going 2-1 on the mound with 16 strikeouts in 22.1 innings. Fort Mill is 13-5 this season.

Anna Urquhart, Indian Land track. The Warrior won the 800-meter run (2:51.27), the 3200-meter run (16:49.03) and anchored the 4x800-meter relay to victory (13:12.68) at the Lancaster County Meet at Andrew Jackson High on April 16. Urquhart’s efforts helped the Indian Land girls track team to victory at the same meet.
