Gracie Robinson of the York Prep girls soccer team is The Herald’s Athlete of the Week.

The Patriot sophomore midfielder scored three goals in a 9-1 win over Lewisville on April 19. She also had a goal in a 2-1 win over Legion Collegiate on April 21.

There were 28,296 votes cast in this week’s poll. Robinson earned 42% of the vote; Joseph Tindale of Northwestern track earned 21% of the vote; and Emily Wodecki of Clover softball earned 14% of the vote.

Athlete of the Week finalists

Bjorn Coltvet, Fort Mill soccer. The Yellow Jacket senior scored two goals in a 6-0 win over Gaffney on April 22. Fort Mill (7-8-1) also won 2-1 at Boiling Springs on April 19.

Jada Jones, Rock Hill track. The Bearcat won the 200-meter dash in a personal-best 24.51 at the Rock Hill Clash at South Pointe High on April 21-22. Jones also won the 400-meter dash in 56.32 at the same event to help the Rock Hill girls track team to victory.

Luke Letterhos, Nation Ford lacrosse. The Falcons junior attacker scored a goal and added two assists to help Nation Ford to a 17-3 win over Spartanburg in the first round of the 5A state playoffs on April 19. Letterhos also had three goals and one assist in an 11-7 win over Riverside in the second round of the playoffs. Letterhos has 30 goals and 25 assists for a Nation Ford team that is a perfect 18-0 going into the 5A Upper state championship game versus JL Mann on Tuesday, April 26.

Jake McCoy, Catawba Ridge baseball. The Copperhead pitched 5.1 innings and notched 10 strikeouts while allowing only three hits to lead Catawba Ridge to a 7-2 win at Nation Ford on April 21. The next game, McCoy went 2-for-2 at the plate with a double, a home run and four RBI in an 11-1 win over Nation Ford on April 22. McCoy is batting .414 with three home runs, 20 RBI, 24 runs scored and five stolen bases for Catawba Ridge (19-5) this season.

Sarah Owens, Lewisville softball. The Lions’ eighth-grader went 3-for-4 at the plate with a home run and two RBI as Lewisville won 16-6 at North Central on April 19. Owens also went six innings on the mound with nine strikeouts in the same game. Owens is 11-3 on the mound with 74 strikeouts in 65 innings of work, while batting .382 with three home runs and 21 RBI for Lewisville (13-5) this season.

Ashton Phillips, Andrew Jackson baseball. The Volunteer senior went 6-for-13 at the plate with two doubles and two stolen bases — while also notching a complete-game two-hitter (with 14 strikeouts) on the mound — as Andrew Jackson won all four games this week to win the Southeastern Baseball Classic at Hartsville High. AJ (23-1-1) has won 16 straight games.

Joseph Tindale, Northwestern track. The Trojan senior won the 3200-meter run in a personal-best 10:34.33 at the Rock Hill Clash at South Pointe High on April 21-22. Tindale also won the 1600-meter run in 4:33.35 at the same event. The Northwestern boys finished in third as a team.

Emily Wodecki, Clover softball. The Blue Eagle junior went 8-for-12 at the plate with seven singles, a double, five RBI, five runs scored and three stolen bases as Clover won at Gaffney (7-2, April 19) and Nation Ford (15-2, April 22) and lost to Dorman (14-6, April 21). Wodecki is batting .521 with eight doubles, 24 RBI, 25 runs scored and five stolen bases for Clover (14-5) this season.
