Man charged in violent Clover home invasion, 2 others sought
York County deputies have arrested a Charlotte man in connection with a violent home invasion in Clover earlier this month.
Jermaine Lamar Lowery, 23, of Charlotte, was charged with first-degree burglary, armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and four counts of kidnapping, according to jail records. He remained in the Moss Justice Center without bond Thursday.
Investigators say Lowery was one of three men who broke into a home on Birchwood Drive in broad daylight on July 11. The three armed suspects reportedly assaulted a 17-year-old victim and tied up a woman, her husband and her husband’s co-worker inside the home. The husband was hit in the head multiple times with a gun.
The four victims eventually escaped the home and called 911 at a neighbor’s house, deputies say.
A spokesman for the York County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that the other two suspects have not been arrested, and investigators are working to identify them.
