Want free mac and cheese for a year? Kids eat free? This new Indian Land restaurant has it

A new Indian Land restaurant will open with free mac and cheese for a year for its first customers, kids-eat-free days and more.

I Heart Mac & Cheese will open Jan. 12 at 10092 Charlotte Hwy., suite 104, in the Walmart shopping center just south of Ballantyne and the North Carolina line.

The fast-casual restaurant offers mac and cheese bowls and grilled cheese sandwiches. The Indian Land site will have baked chicken or meatball parmesan, Cuban, pizza, lobster and white truffle and other combinations. Healthier options include quinoa, broccoli, cauliflower and gluten-free choices.

The first 10 customers when doors open at 11 a.m. on Jan. 12 will get free mac and cheese for a year. The restaurant will give out free mac bites on Jan. 20 for National Cheese Lovers Day. Details are forthcoming on weekly events like kids-eat-free Wednesdays.

Company CEO and chairman Steve Giordanella said in a release that the company is excited to open in Indian Land.

“Expanding the brand and watching people fall in love with this concept that celebrates the childhood classics always makes us very happy and proud,” he said.
