Chipotle is open in Rock Hill, plus other area restaurant updates to end the year
Rock Hill’s Chipotle Mexican Grill is now open for business.
The new Chipotle is open at 2316 Cherry Road. It’s near the Anderson Road intersection, near the Publix shopping center and in the same building with My Eyelab and Wingstop.
Chipotle will be open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. The new site includes a “Chipotlane” drive-thru pickup lane where customers can pick up digital orders. The Rock Hill location is hiring, with information available online.
Chipotle serves burritos, bowls, quesadillas, salads and tacos. The company prides itself on natural ingredients, sustainability and flavor.
The new location grows the relatively new addition of Chipotle to the area market. A site on U.S. 521 in Indian Land, in the Walmart shopping center near the North Carolina line, opened summer of last year. A new Fort Mill Chipotle followed it off S.C. 160, near Pleasant Road. Combined, the Charlotte and Rock Hill markets have more than a dozen locations.
The opening also comes at a busy time for the area food scene. Poppyseed Kitchen opened earlier this month in Fort Mill. VooDoo Wing Co. recently posted its grand opening is getting closer, and that it will have Tuesday night all you can eat wings when it opens along S.C. 160 in Fort Mill.
Epic Prime, a steakhouse from the Epic Chophouse team in Fort Mill, recently announced plans to open at The Power House in Rock Hill. That project will include several other restaurant and food options in University Center.
