After a 2.5 year run, Good Life Organic Kitchen in Fort Mill will close its doors
After just a couple of years in Fort Mill, Good Life Organic Kitchen has announced it will close permanently on April 30.
Good Life Organic Kitchen opened in October 2021, aimed at serving healthier food options in a rampant Fort Mill food scene. Its menu features sandwiches, smoothies and smoothie bowls, quinoa bowls, salads and baked goods.
Why it’s closing: Store owner Gary Blount Jr. posted the news on the store’s Instagram and Facebook pages last week, saying his focus “needs to be with my growing family and financial practice.” Blount is also the owner of the neighboring Terrier Financial Group, a firm that helps clients with managing investments and savings.
“Everyone who’s walked through our doors including my amazing employees, loyal customers, and local vendors has made this place truly special,” Blount wrote. “I love our food as much as anyone, and hope that we’ve planted the seeds for more healthy and nutritious food establishments here in Fort Mill.”
The news came as a sad shock to fans of the restaurant.
- “We have loved your business and food!” Mackenzie Lyons commented on the restaurant’s Instagram post. “We will definitely be in a couple times before you close!”
- “Nooooo!!! Can I get the recipes for your energy balls??” wrote Abby Ballew Nussbaum.
- “Sorry to hear that! I’ll miss the Bustin Bananas smoothies and consistently friendly service!” Paul Zederbaum stated.
