Local Greek restaurant making moves with another new location in Charlotte area
A fan-favorite Mediterranean restaurant known for its freshly-made, flavorful family recipes is adding another location to Charlotte’s food scene.
Greco Fresh Grille is opening soon at Cotswold Village — taking over the space that was formerly home to Wolfman Pizza for over 30 years.
The newest restaurant, slated to open this spring, will be the team’s 10th location across the area since opening nearly 15 years ago.
Bringing ‘fast, fresh, delicious’ Greek fare to Charlotte
The Charlotte area got its first taste of Greco Fresh Grille back in 2011, when founder Vasili Pahountis began serving up signature Mediterranean staples in Ballantyne that were inspired by recipes passed down from his mother, who immigrated from Greece.
It wasn’t long before his curated menu of authentic Mediterranean cuisine led to even more locations around town — including two in the last year in NoDa and Lake Norman.
According to the business’ website, each location is run as a stand-alone restaurant with everything on the menu made in-house with fresh ingredients, including gyros, kebabs, salads, hummus, baklava and more.
An official opening date for the newest Greco Fresh Grille has yet to be announced. CharlotteFive has reached out for more details.
Keep an eye on this space for more updates to come.
