Beignets & Brew French Donuts plans to open at 360 Fort Mill Pkwy. in early 2026. It’s part of South Mill at Elizabeth, a 14,000-square-foot retail site beside the more than 1,300-home Elizabeth subdivision.
The Florida-based sweet shop has traditional and bite-size beignets with buttercream, blueberry and chocolate dipping sauces, according to its online menu. Beignets are covered in powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, cinnamon roll icing, turtle toppings or Nutella. Savory dishes include chicken with beignets, a honey butter chicken croissant and a croissant with bacon or sausage.
The menu also includes specialty coffees — like a Biscoff cookie butter latte and salted caramel mocha — in addition to smoothies, teas and other cold drinks.
The New Orleans-inspired options will be something unique and inviting in Fort Mill, franchise owner Kristoffer Patrick said in a statement.
“I can’t wait for everyone to have a truly one-of-a-kind sweet encounter,” Patrick said.
Seasonal items are also available, such as the strawberry shortcake latte and chantilly beignets currently listed online.
Beignets & Brew will take up more than 2,000 square feet at the front of South Mill at Elizabeth. It joins Town Square Adult Day Center, Riccobene Family Dentistry, Caresway Pharmacy and Reynolds Orthodontics.
Beignets & Brew has 14 locations, mainly in Florida and Alabama, with two in Georgia. The company lists 15 more sites as coming soon. While the Fort Mill site is not yet on the list, the company does show a ‘coming soon’ location for Charlotte, along with ventures into Tennessee, Arkansas and Virginia. The Charlotte listing and one in Raleigh, North Carolina, are the only two spots in the Carolinas.
